My Flare Navigator
When a chronic illness flare hits and your fight-or-flight response is in high gear, your body can feel completely unpredictable and overwhelming. This navigator is built to help you track your symptoms and translate those chaotic physical signals into a clear, structured map. By identifying what is happening beneath the surface, you can remove the guesswork and learn how to safely manage your energy thresholds.
To use the tool, simply select the active symptoms you are physically experiencing right now. The dashboard will automatically calculate your scores and generate a practical, step-by-step pacing checklist tailored to your current needs. Use this data to protect your baseline and guide your body through a crash.
The Flare Navigator is an evolving educational resource. This tool is currently in development, and its content, features, and resources will continue to expand and improve over time as additional information, research, patterns, and educational materials are incorporated. Our goal is to continually develop the Navigator into a more comprehensive resource while maintaining a clear distinction between educational information and individualized medical care. Features and information may be updated, revised, or expanded as the tool develops.
Symptom Decoder & Key
If you are using our visual diagram tracker, use this quick reference guide to easily translate the backend codes (F1–F9) into everyday physical feelings:
-
F1 (Overall Flare Level): Your total symptom score. It tracks how intense your overall flare is right now.
-
F2 (Nervous System Strain): Tracks how hard your body's stress response and nervous system are working to stay balanced.
-
F3 (Crash Risk Speed): Tells you how rapidly your energy is depleting and how fast you might be heading toward a crash.
-
F4 (Adrenaline Surge): That sudden, panicked "middle-of-the-night" waking window (typically between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM).
-
F5 (Post-Meal Blood Pooling): The intense fatigue, dizziness, or heavy stomach feeling you experience right after eating as blood pools in your abdomen.
-
F6 (Fluid Shift & Swelling): The physical sensation of sudden fluid moving, puffiness, or temporary swelling in your body.
-
F7 (Coat-Hanger Pain): The classic achy, heavy, or fatigued pain wrapping across your upper shoulders and neck.
-
F8 (Severe Cellular Fatigue): The sudden "empty battery" feeling where your body runs completely out of physical fuel.
-
F9 (Neuro-Inflammatory Bloating): Severe, uncomfortable abdominal bloating driven by nervous system irritation rather than standard digestion.
